A short history of the Mannequin Vanity Publishing brand.
Mannequin Vanity Records was born in New York city in the recording studios of the famed Music Industry Business graduate program of NYU in 2008. Originally established as a 360 degree record label, a unique partnership in 2011 gave birth to the literary imprint, Mannequin Vanity Publishing giving MVP/MVR the perpetual rights to the original audio book, ORFAN a novel by Corie Skolnick. MVP released ORFAN on 1/1/11 in trade paper, and ebook via world wide distributor, Ingram Content Group. ORFAN the audio book is available on audible.com, an amazon company.
IS THIS ALL THERE IS? a novel by Patricia Mann was MVPs second full length fiction publication. (Patricia Mann is now published by Booktrope Editions.)
In 2015 the MVP/MVR family restructured to form the new literary imprint, india street press.
Music licensing for Mannequin Vanity Records’ artists appearing on commercial/cable TV, internet content, video, and film happens through MVR Entertainment, LLC., San Diego, California.
On 5/23/2015 india street press published its debut novel, AMERICA’S MOST ELIGIBLE, by Corie Skolnick.
